What´s the plot?

The stage musical, 'Mamma Mia!' hits the big screen.

Meryl Streep leads an all-star cast in the feature-film adaptation of the beloved musical, bringing the timeless lyrics and melodies of iconic super group ABBA to cinema audiences.

‘Mamma Mia’ is the story of Donna (Streep) who is about to attend the wedding of Sophie (Amanda Seyfried), the spirited daughter she's raised alone. For Sophie's wedding, Donna has invited her two lifelong best girlfriends - practical and no-nonsense Rosie (Julie Walters) and wealthy, multi-divorcee Tanya (Christine Baranski) - from her one-time backing band, Donna and the Dynamos. But Sophie has secretly invited three guests of her own.

Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård, Christine Baranski, Julie Walters, Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper join Streep in this celebration of a mother, a daughter and three possible dads.

‘Mamma Mia’ the stage musical was a massive hit around the world, and this is a great opportunity to see a brilliant performance brought to the big screen.

Mamma Mia! The Movie + Meryl Streep (best actress ever) = Best film ever.

Best film I have ever seen, watched it 3 times and could of quite happily sat through it another 10 times! Meryl Streep continues to amaze, and remind us why she is the best actress in the world. Supporting cast is all fantastic too, especially Julie Walters.

If you do one thing this year make sure you go and see this.

Can't wait for the DVD.

1-2 stars. Worth a look if your an excitable female.

MY RATING: 1/2 STARS.
Worth a watch if you an excitable female or love abba!

Mamma Mia is a musical that is different, it has Abba songs, tho this is all that is good about the film. Yes, the songs used are great and iconic but they are not well sung and the acting is wooden.

The opening scene is good but is like the most you see of a plot (like the peak of an action film but at the beginning) after that initial 20 minutes things go down hill. The lack of plot really shows and abba songs are thrown in everywhere and any where.

The plot is thin. The abba songs are all that keeps this going which would please Abba fans and older women, but not any one with a high movie standered. This is a low movie standered.

Best Chick Flick - Eva!
